TIBET: voice in exile

The story of Tibet is the story of its struggle to retain its culture, religion and voice. McLeod Ganj is one of the several places across India where they have settled after escaping their own country and Chinese ‘culture revolution’.

If you are in McLeod Ganj, do visit the TIBET museum that puts forward their case of struggle and the systematic wiping and destruction of their culture by the communist Chinese government.

The Chinese appear to be shrewd and calculative when dealing with the issue of Tibet. Gory pictures of dead Tibetans greet you on both sides as you enter the monastery at McLeod Ganj. I believe more than anything else, the Chinese reaction stands testimony to the faith and determination of the Tibetan people.
